Clean River Project spent last week cleaning the Merrimack in preparation for Team Haverhill’s downtown River Ruckus Festival, scheduled for Sept. 7.
A recent article in the Eagle Tribune highlighted the Clean River Project’s Merrimack River cleanup in Haverhill. Volunteers from Clean River Project collected about two tons of trash and junk in about three hours. The junk was delivered to the city’s highway yard on Primrose Street for recycling. Clean River Project will have a booth set up at the River Ruckus event and will also be recruiting volunteers. Rockingham Boat will be offering pontoon boat rides to benefit Clean River Project.
