Team Haverhill’s arts-themed projects use art to connect residents and visitors with the city’s outdoor spaces, as well as its natural and cultural treasures.
At the heart of this effort is a public art initiative that aims to make high quality artwork accessible to all by bringing art to downtown’s public spaces. Examples include the series of painted murals located throughout Haverhill’s Restaurant and Arts district, depicting various aspects of the city’s rich, diverse history and vibrant present.
Team Haverhill’s arts-based projects also encourage a sense-of-place by inviting residents and visitors to examine the city’s landscapes and natural resources through the lens of art. The Agriculture and Art project is an example, connecting local artists of all levels with the Haverhill’s farms in a spirit that promotes a richer appreciation of both.
